New Changes
Well It has been a time since I have posted anything, so first off
sorry for keeping you in the dark.
Well here is the news you are all craving for?
Management Changes.
Ken and Sue have moved on ? Ken finally got round to remembering why he and Sue came to the Dominican Republic for in the first place? and that was to Retire. As the Anchor was getting more demanding on his time and with Sue away looking after important family matters, it seamed just the right time for them both to sit back and watch the project they started 2 years ago flourish, and have been happy to leave it in good hands.
Also at this time due to health reasons Fabienne has decided to take time away to heal (no pun intended) and sadly left the Anchor, leaving Jean and a new member to the Management team, Alexis, who is no stranger to the Anchor as you know, who given the chance to join the Anchor as a partner, was more than keen to do so, with him doing so, turned down a chance to join a cruse ship company, but having been a valued member of the Anchor team for a while, had no hesitation and did not need to much time to think about it.
All members of the Anchor team past and present are more than happy with how the transition has gone and the direction at which The Anchor is heading in the ever capable and safe hands of Jean & Alexis.
So Jean & Alexis we would like to sincerely wish everyone good health and happiness for the future in all that you do and hope to see them and of course, all of you at The Anchor.
The Anchor Team.

' Much of the improvement work to the Anchor has now been completed and we would like to thank our customers for being patient whilst the noisy work took place. We now have a much bigger baking and kitchen area and as from Saturday 28th August our new sandwich bar will be open. We will be doing a wide range of sandwiches made with fresh bread baked on the premises. Sandwiches will be served with tortilla chips and a choice of either coleslaw or potato salad. All your favourites will be there including egg mayonnaise, chicken curry, sweet and sour chicken, tuna and sweetcorn, shrimp cocktail, cheese and home made chutney, steak and onions, Philly steak and also the occasional special such as roast turkey and cranberry sauce. Of course, if you don't see what you fancy then just ask and we will see what we can do. There will also be some changes in the main menu in the coming weeks. All the popular items will remain, especially the home made bagels, and we will be adding some new specials. So watch this space. OH and shortly there will be a fixed computer in the cafe for customers to use if they do not have their own laptop. The service will remain free to customers.'
